I'm incredibly honoured to be named a 2024 Queensland Greats Award recipient! The awards celebrate outstanding Queenslanders for their contributions to our State. To be acknowledged in this way is a humbling honour, and I am so proud to be named amongst such inspiring individuals.

My plaque will be placed at Roma Street Parklands alongside other Queenslanders who have helped shape this amazing community. I love being a Queenslander!

Throughout my sporting career, representing Queensland and Australia in Beach Volleyball across five Olympic Games and winning Gold in 2000 has been a journey of pride and resilience — values I believe are quintessentially Queensland.

Founding the Aussie Athlete Fund has been my passion project to support our athletes who dream of wearing the green and gold, and to give back to the community that has given me so much.

Being a part of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Board and having served as President of the Queensland Olympic Council has been an incredible experience that brings my journey full circle, helping to shape the future of the Games for the next generation of athletes to thrive.
